Telephone calls with Wolfgang and Susanne

Altena and Meschede are about a 70-kilometer drive across mountains and valleys. That's why Susanne Boecking from the RKP South Westphalia Cultural Office and Wolfgang Meier from the RKP Sauerland Cultural Office often pick up the phone. After all, there's always something to discuss, clarify, and exchange. The cultural regions of Sauerland and South Westphalia are not only linked by the RKP Regional Cultural Program NRW, but are also both part of the South Westphalia economic region. There are many overlaps and similarities. But also many things that are completely different. Wolfgang and Susanne mostly talk about culture and the Regional Cultural Program. And that's exactly what these podcasts are about. Everything else goes unheard. You can find the podcasts here on this page, but also on Soundcloud.

Session 1: We hear each other

What's life like in the RKP cultural office? Susanne Boecking from the RKP South Westphalia office and Wolfgang Meier from the RKP Sauerland office introduce themselves and their daily work and share a little insider information.

Session 2: Do we understand each other?

Susanne Boecking from the RKP South Westphalia Cultural Office and Wolfgang Meier from the RKP Sauerland Cultural Office present their cultural regions. And yes, they are different. The regions, at least.

Session 3: We are two of ten

There are ten RKP cultural offices. The Sauerland Cultural Region and the South Westphalia Cultural Region are "just" two of them. Wolfgang Meier from the Sauerland Cultural Region and Susanne Boecking from the South Westphalia Cultural Region discuss the tasks of the RKP cultural offices.

Interruption: Wolfgang introduces the ten RKP cultural offices

Wolfgang Meier from the RKP Sauerland Cultural Office presents the responsibilities of the ten RKP offices. He seems to chuckle a bit every now and then. Why, actually?

Session 4: Hot phase at the RKP

RKP - Regional Cultural Program NRW. What's behind this again? And why is it a hot phase? Susanne Boecking from the South Westphalia Cultural Region and Wolfgang Meier from the Sauerland Cultural Region tell each other what they already know, but perhaps others don't.

Session 5: Day of Decision

Excitement and stress are brewing in the RKP cultural offices. The jury meetings for the RKP projects are approaching. At the cultural centers of South Westphalia and Sauerland, too, people are hoping they haven't forgotten anything. Wolfgang Meier and Susanne Boecking encourage each other and outline the process for the meetings and approvals.

Facts: Wolfgang reads out the RKP funding criteria

Wolfgang Meier from the RKP Sauerland Cultural Office clearly has the calmer and more reassuring voice. Yet he doesn't read fairy tales, but rather the RKP funding criteria. And those are hard facts.

Addendum: Wolfgang explains how to get RKP project funding

Wolfgang Meier from the RKP Sauerland Cultural Office explains the path to project funding through the RKP Regional Cultural Program NRW. Susanne Boecking from the RKP South Westphalia Cultural Office listens carefully and remains silent.
